The Master of Advanced Studies in Humanitarian Logistics and Management (MASHLM) is a part-time executive program for humanitarian professionals. The program is designed to bridge the gaps that exist between strategy and tactics, and tactics and operations. Participants learn to optimize supply chains, improve processes, think strategically, and manage projects more successfully.
The program welcomes humanitarian practitioners with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Students attend five sessions in Lugano, Switzerland. Each session lasts two weeks and all courses are taught in English. Students earn an advanced master’s degree from the Università della Svizzera italiana and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
MASHLM is more than just logistics. Participants work in diverse fields within a humanitarian context including logistics, procurement, HR, WASH, ICT, child protection, and transportation. They bring a wealth of knowledge from the field into the classroom, enriching lessons and ensuring project work is highly relevant.
